Rufus – Program to create bootable USB drives
Rufus is a free and portable program that lets you take a bootable stick with Windows, Linux or another operating system.
This can be used so easy, just select the iso image from the computer operating system and press the start button.
Rufus can be especially useful for cases where:
If you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.)
you need to work on a system that doesn’t have an OS installed
you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS
you want to run a low-level utility
Rufus has some advanced options that it’s pointless to get in if you don’t know, and default options are always the best for the average user. The program brags about he’s 2 times faster than Windows 7 DVD tool, WinToFlash or other programs of this kind and I think it is.
Rufus is portable (ie no installation required, just download it and run it) and takes less than 1 MB.
